Generate a free key on this computer and use the local REST endpoints from scripts or tools. No account, cloud key, or sign-in. The key file stays in this project folder.

Local API key

The key is created on first use and saved as .local-api-key with owner-only file permissions.

Quick start

Replace YOUR_LOCAL_API_KEY and the example URL. For a carousel, resolve first and use an image index (starting at 0).

Body example: {"url":"…","media":"video"}; use media "audio" for public soundtrack/audio streams, or media "image" with "imageIndex":0 for a carousel frame.

Coverage is best-effort. Public links only; platform changes, region blocks and rate limits can cause failures. This tool doesn’t bypass login walls, paywalls, DRM, or access controls. Spotify is metadata and official links/embeds only—no protected music downloads.
